Job Description
The University of Chattanooga Foundation, Inc. (UCF) invites applications and nominations to fill the position of Alumni Engagement Coordinator for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Reporting to the Director of Alumni Affairs, the Alumni Engagement Coordinator is responsible for leading young alumni and student engagement programs, managing outreach and engagement events, maintaining alumni data in Foundation's CRM, and serving as a liaison between the Alumni Office and various internal and external groups.
This role leads alumni engagement programs, student initiatives, and data collection, while also supervising student workers and collaborating with campus partners to promote alumni stories and opportunities.
Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Alumni Engagement: Lead the execution of alumni engagement activities, including event coordination, event contracts/reservations, invitation and RSVP lists, stakeholder/vendor communication, and attending events. Create, lead and execute the GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) initiative's priorities, programs, initiatives and promotions.
Student Facing-Initiatives: Create, lead and execute student-facing and campus-wide alumni initiatives. Oversee annual student engagements and giving initiatives, including but not limited to Graduation Celebration, Mocs Give Day, student organization engagement, and campus-based e-commerce activations.
Leadership & Administration: Oversee and direct the work of student assistants and volunteers through appropriate tasks, event coverage, and representation of the Alumni Affairs team. Collaborate with Advancement, Athletics, UTAA, and other campus/community partners to ensure the collection and sharing of alumni stories, opportunities, and initiatives. Identify opportunities to market alumni brands through newsletters, social media platforms, web resources, and other promotional channels. Collaborate with appropriate campus, system, and affinity or community-based colleagues to ensure appropriate alumni data collection and coordination. Regularly work in a donor and data-driven CRM to manage alumni information effectively.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
The candidate who fills the Alumni Engagement Coordinator position is required to have:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1+ years of experience in an office setting
- Proven experience in event planning or coordination
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with diverse groups
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficiency in using CRM systems for data management
A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required due to travel responsibilities of the position. UTFI reserves the right to consider all appropriate circumstances. In general, any significant driving offense less than 12 months old will eliminate the application from consideration for the position.
Preferred Education and Experience
In addition to meeting the required qualifications, the preferred candidate will have:
- Experience in higher education, fundraising, alumni affairs or event and volunteer management
