St. Catherine University invites applications for the Alumni Engagement Coordinator position with the Alumni Relations Department.

The Alumni Engagement Coordinator is responsible for the strategic engagement of how students transition into alumni: they will implement the vision for developing and delivering comprehensive engagement efforts to reinforce our Forever Katies' culture, concentrating on those alumni less than 10 years after graduation and alumni with strong affinity groups to the University. The alumni engagement coordinator will plan and execute a range of activities, including marketing campaigns, events, volunteering and mentoring programs, in order to support the wider work of Alumni Relations and the strategic direction of Institutional Advancement and the greater University.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop & implement engagement strategy for new alumni programming, aligning objectives with broader Alumni Relations (AR) goals and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with internal campus partners to develop and support alumni engagement through alumni affinities to the University, e.g. athletic involvement, academic degree or program, or other affinities
  • Creates and manages programs, events, and volunteer opportunities to engage alumni.
  • Leads the transition from student to new alumni.
  • Act as the primary relationship manager for key constituency groups.
  • Cultivates, recruits, and trains volunteers for alumni related programs
  • Strategically builds and executes an engagement strategy and structure to serve and involve specific new alumni cohorts, including but not limited to our BIPOC and LGBTQ+ alum
  • In collaboration with Annual Fund, serves as a content expert for new alumni solicitation.
  • Partners with Annual Fund to support Student Philanthropy Club and related activities.
  • Responsible for the creation & execution of communications & marketing strategy to reach and engage alumni, with recent graduates in mind, in partnership with the communications department.
  • Responsible for reaching alums via targeted social & digital channels
  • Manages alumni social media content plan & execution
  • Develops and delivers campaigns & communications activity with measurable results
  • Deliver communications that center marginalized voices in the context of equity, fairness and respect.
  • Works with team to establish an annual plan with clear performance projections and metrics.
  • Remains current on University priorities and programming in order to communicate effectively with alumni and students.
  • Remains current on best practices in student/new alumni engagement and communication, frequently benchmarks against other schools.
  • Tracks KPIs, including logging engagement activities in database and monitoring performance of digital communications & campaigns
  • Tracks event and committee costs and work within budget.



Salary Range: $43,604- $55,504

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years experience in community engagement, marketing, or communications
  • Must have experience as a student or staff member at an institution of higher education
  • Experience working with alumni, donors, customers, employees or volunteers
  • Ability to connect and build relationships
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team-based organization
  • Must have the ability to respond respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, in a manner that affirms the worth and preserves the dignity of individuals, families, and communities.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours on occasion (some event delivery requires additional hours including evenings and weekends)


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Experience successfully delivering digital marketing campaigns or communications (incl social media)
  • An interest in developing engagement programs with BIPOC and individuals who identify as LGBTQ+ and in creating an inclusive and diverse community
